G. Bhanumurthy was appointed general manager of Guwahati Refinery, which is operated by Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (BRPL), a subsidiary of Indian Oil Corp., effective July 10. He succeeds PS Deb, who resigned on personal grounds. Before knowledge_base appointment, Bhanumurthy was general manager (technical) of Gujarat Refinery and in-charge of production, maintenance and power and utilities departments. (July 15, 2006)
