Gull Bioethanol passes 5-million liter mark
Gull Petroleum announced that it has purchased more than five million liters of bioethanol from Anchor Ethanol, a subsidiary of New Zealand dairy producer Fonterra. The fuel-grade ethanol supplied by Anchor Ethanol is produced from whey, a natural by-product of its dairy operations. This milestone means the ethanol used in Gull biofuels has saved more than 7,000 tons of carbon from entering the atmosphere. (April 21, 2010)
