Guangxi to test ethanol fuel

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will become the first trial area to use tapioca to manufacture ethanol fuel and to promote vehicle use of ethanol-blended gasoline. The first phase of the fuel ethanol project will begin operations in December 2007, with an annual output capacity reaching 200,000 tons. Guangxi plans to replace other types of gasoline with ethanol-blended gasoline by the end of February 2008. (September 13, 2007)
