Green Future to build ethanol plant in Isabela

Green Future Innovations Inc. will begin construction of a 54-million liter ethanol plant in San Mariano, Isabela, Philippines in the next two months, an official of one of the company’s investors said. Erwin Co, who represents Itochu Corp.’s investment in Green Future said the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has approved Green Future’s application to convert the 24-hectare ethanol facility into an eco-zone. Green Future is a partnership between Japan’s Itochu and JGC Corp. and local investors. The group committed to invest more than US$100 million in the project. Co said Green Future expects the facility to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2011. (January 13, 2010)
