GM inks deal for biodiesel research in Gujarat
General Motors (GM) has signed a fresh deal with Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI) of Gujarat, for jatropha-based biodiesel research in India. Under the deal, CSMCRI is expected to receive around US$1 million in the next five years to cultivate jatropha and to test automobile engines with biodiesel extracted from jatropha. (January 21, 2010)
