Geely to add 15 overseas production bases by 2015

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., the parent firm of Chinese major automaker Geely Automobile Holdings, plans to build 15 overseas production bases in the next five years, said Chairman Li Shufu. Li said that the move is to meet its 2 million unit goal both in auto production and sales. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group hopes to produce more than 40 auto models based on its five technical platforms and 15 existing models by 2015. (December 30, 2010)
