Gazpromneft Lubricants begins berth-to-ship bunkering from Primorsk port

Gazpromneft Lubricants, operator of Gazprom Neft’s business of marine oils, is the first company to provide marine oils from the port at Primorsk, Russia. The first berth-to-ship bunkering was done for the tanker SEAHAKE, the company stated.
Berth-to-ship bunkering with lubricants is one of the port services common in Russian and foreign ports. The development of this new service in Primorsk will enable Gazpromneft Lubricants to expand its sales network in Russia and increase sales of marine oils.
“Gazpromneft Lubricants has been manufacturing and selling marine oils for over a year and a half. Our products are delivered to the largest ports of Russia, CIS and Baltic states. Being the first to bunker vessels from the berth in Primorsk, one of Russia’s key ports in the northwest region, is an essential step in the development of this business. It contributes to the company’s competitiveness in both Russian and international markets,” says Aleksandr Trukhan, director general of Gazpromneft Lubricants.
Primorsk is the largest port in northwest Russia in terms of exports of crude and oil products. It is the end point of the Baltic Pipeline System and the oil product pipeline of project Sever (North). The port is focused on the transportation of crude oil from Timano-Pechersk field, from West Siberia and the Urals-Volga region, as well as fuel from some refineries in central Russia.
Gazpromneft Lubricants is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. It specializes in the production and sale of lubricants and service fluids. The company was founded in November 2007. Gazpromneft Lubricants has five production facilities in Russia, Italy and Serbia, totaling 450,000 tons of products per year.
