Gazprom Neft to expand lube capacity at Omsk
Gazprom Neft said that it has begun construction of new facilities for the blending, packaging, storage and shipment of automobile and industrial lubricants at Omsk, to capture a greater share of the eastern Russian and Kazakh markets. The US$65 million facilities, which are located at the Omsk Oil refinery, will expand the production of SibiMotor economy-class motor oils for automobiles and Gazprom Neft-brand industrial lubricants. Total production of lubricants will rise from the current level of 65,000 tons to 120,000 tons per year. New storage capacity for both raw materials and finished products and packaging lines are expected to be in service before the end of next year, while new blending facilities will be finished within a year after that.
