Gazprom Neft supplied oils for Bolshoi Theater stage

Gazpromneft-Lubricants has started to supply Gazpromneft Hydraulic HLP 46 oils for the hydraulic system of Russia’s famous Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. The first batch was dispatched to the Bolshoi Theater on September 27. The new hydraulic system was uniquely designed by a group of German engineers. Its oil tank is installed at the depth of more than 20 meters and stretches almost under the entire stage. The total volume of oil tank is about 50 tons of hydraulic oil. The main building of the Bolshoi closed for restoration in 2005 and was originally set to reopen in 2009 or early 2010. However, this has been pushed back to 2011. The Theater has undergone many renovations in its time, but none as major as this. The restoration will cost US$730 million. Despite the reconstruction, the theater is operational and holds performances. Most of the shows are performed on the new stage, which was opened on November, 29, 2000. (October 21, 2010)
