Fuel consumption in Thailand in uptrend

Consumptions of both gasoline and natural gas in Thailand have been increasing in line with the ongoing economic recovery, according to the Department of the Energy Business under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy. As of June 2010, consumption figures for the benzene-gasohol group stood at 20.71 million liters per day, increasing by 2.2% year-on year. E20 consumption among Thai people was at 380,000 liters per day, while the E85 at 5,000 liters a day. As for benzene 95, Thai people consumed the product less, only at 130,000 liters per day, decreasing by 76.2% year-on-year. Consumption of Diesel stood at 51.02 million liters a day, which rose by 4.9% year-on-year. Both natural gas for vehicles (NGV) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) were also consumed more in the last month. The figure increased by 35.2% and 13.6% respectively. (July 15, 2010)
