Freudenberg Chemical acquires SurTec

Germany’s Freudenberg Chemical Specialties said it is acquiring SurTec, a surface technology company based in Pune, India. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. SurTec produces and markets chemical products for industrial cleaning, pre-treatment and post-treatment of metal surfaces and plastic galvanization and aluminum anodizing. Jörg Matthias Grossmann, regional representative for the Freudenberg Group in India and CFO of Freudenberg Chemical Specialties, said “This acquisition will lay the foundations for the development of a further business segment in addition to special lubricants and release agents.” (July 29, 2011)
