Ford to launch EcoBoost technology in India

Ford plans to introduce its EcoBoost generation of engines in India in its planned models for the market over the next five years, reports the Economic Times. Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said, Ford’s EcoBoost engine technology was introduced a year ago in the U.S. and has met with [a] great response. These engines sport 20% better fuel efficiency and 15% lesser CO2 [carbon dioxide] emission. We plan to introduce this kind of EcoBoost engines in India as well. The company plans to introduce around eight new models in the Indian market during the next five years. (October 8, 2010)
