Ford posts 7% increase in sales in China for first 11 months of 2011

Ford Motor Co. sold 470,152 passenger vehicles in China during the first 11 months of 2011, a 7% increase year-on-year. Changan Ford Mazda Automobile (CFMA), Ford’s joint venture with Changan Automotive Group, sold 289,870 Ford vehicles from January to November, compared to 274,396 last year. In November, CFMA’s sales of Ford-branded vehicles reached 29,568, up by 1% from last year’s 29,321. November sales of Ford and its Chinese joint ventures had a combined total sale of 43,338 units, up by 6% from October, but down by 7% from the same period last year. (December 6, 2011)
