Ford investing $10 million in Vietnam

Ford Motor Co. will invest US$10 million to expand production at the company’s plant in Haiduong, Vietnam, increasing annual production capacity by approximately 35%. The Haiduong facility currently assembles the Ford Mondeo and Focus passenger cars; Everest and Escape sport utility vehicles; the Ranger pick-up; and the Transit van. In 2007, Ford Vietnam sold 5,975 vehicles, a 165% increase over 2006. (May 1, 2008)
