Flying V to expand retail network

Independent oil company Flying V Philippines announced plans to aggressively expand its retail network by 100 stations in 2009, with investments possibly reaching as much as Php200 million (US$4.15 million). “[Over the last] 11 years, we have [put up] 175 stations, but for 2009, we will build 100 stations,” said Flying V Chairman Ramon Villavicencio. Last year, Flying V opened a biofuel center at the Navotas Fish Port Complex, as the company sought to take advantage of and promote the use of biofuels in the country’s main fishing port.
