ExxonMobil to merge fuels and lubricants divisions

ExxonMobil Corp. has announced that the board of directors is expected to approve the consolidation of ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing Company and ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company into ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Company, effective February 1, 2012. Alan Kelly, currently president of ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company, is expected to be named president of the consolidated company. Kelly began his career with the company in 1981. He held a variety of positions in the U.K., the Netherlands, Japan and the U.S., working in areas including the company’s fuels and lubricants marketing activities, and refinery logistics and supply operations. In 2001, he was appointed regional director, North America, ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company. Kelly became general manager of corporate planning at ExxonMobil Corp. in 2003. In 2006, he was seconded as project director of the National Petroleum Council’s Global Oil and Gas Study which was commissioned by the U.S. Department of Energy. In 2007, he was appointed president of ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company. ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing President Harold Cramer retired at the end of December after 38 years with the company. (December 28, 2011)
