ExxonMobil breaks ground on Shanghai technology center

ExxonMobil Chemical held a groundbreaking ceremony for its technology center in Shanghai on May 8. The ceremony was attended by Liu Jinping, vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Steve Pryor, president of ExxonMobil Chemical Co., Bob Davis, vice president of Global Technology, ExxonMobil Chemical Co., and Paul Theys, chairman of ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co., Ltd. The center, located at the Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park, is expected to be operational in 2010. The ceremony marked the start of the center’s construction, which the company said is an important milestone for its growth in China. (May 8, 2009)
