Ethanol makers ready to meet demand

All India Ethanol Manufacturers Association has stated that ethanol manufacturers in the country are prepared to supply the required amount of ethanol for blending by oil companies. It is estimated that 1,044.5 million liters of ethanol are required between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011. The government has fixed the price of ethanol to be used for blending at Rs27 (US$0.57) per liter. (August 18, 2010)
