Esso to spend Rm38 million on retail network

Esso Malaysia Bhd, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Corp., is allotting around RM38 million (US$10.9 million) to expand its retail network in Malaysia, which will include building at least six new petrol stations this year.
Chairman Liam M. Mallon said the company would acquire sites and construct new stations in high growth areas, such as the Klang Valley, Johor Baru and Penang. The company currently operates a total of 284 service stations, while its affiliate, Mobil, runs more than 200 stations, nationwide. (May 24, 2007)
