Energy ministry organizes gasohol campaign

Thailand’s Ministry of Energy is organizing a campaign for Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont, members of the Cabinet and state agencies to use gasohol. The campaign is being arranged at the Government House. Energy Minister Piyasvasti Amranand says the daily usage of gasohol has risen from 3.5 million liters in 2006 to 5.1 million liters between January and September this year. He says the Energy Ministry is targeting to increase the daily usage of gasohol by eight million liters by the end of this year. (September 19, 2007)
