EADS to set up biofuels research hub in Singapore

European aersopace giant EADS is planning to set up its Asian biofuels research hub in Singapore, at the EADS Innovation Center, which was set up almost two years ago. EADS will work on developing algae-based bio-jetfuel. Jean Botti, chief technical officer (CTO) of EADS, said the company which controls Airbus and Eurocopter had already started preliminary discussions with the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology & Research or A-Star. “We are now establishing the framework for the project and we should be able to seal the deal by February 2010,” Botti said.
