Dung Quat refinery produces 2 million tons of products in Q1

Nguyen Hoai Giang, general director of the Binh Son Oil Refining & Petrochemical Co. (BSR), operator of the Dung Quat oil refinery, reported that the refinery produced almost 2 million tons of petroleum products in the first quarter of 2011.  Currently, the refinery is producing 18,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), polypropylene, gasoline A92, jet aviation fuel, kerosene, diesel oil and fuel oil each day.  Dung Quat recently resumed production after a 10-day suspension for maintenance and technical workshops.  An overall two-month maintenance inspection involving 2,000 experts, will take place in July in preparation for the refinery’s expansion project, which will boost processing capacity to 10 million tons by 2015-2016.  (May 5, 2011)
