Dung Quat refinery now operating at full capacity

Dung Quat refinery, Vietnam’s first, is now operating at full capacity, said Nguyen Hoai Giang, general director of Binh Son Refinery Co., a wholly owned unit of state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group or PetroVietnam. The 130,000 barrel-a-day refinery was shut down August 18 due to a valve problem and was restarted October 1 at 65% of capacity. The refinery has so far supplied 18,500 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas, 55,000 tons of 92 octane gasoline, 8,000 tons of kerosene, 49,000 tons of diesel fuel, 17,000 tons of fuel oil and 1,500 tons of propylene.
