Dow Performance Fluids introduces new product

The Dow Performance Fluids Business has introduced the next generation in bio-hydraulic fluid, DOW SYMBIO. Based on advanced chemistry from The Dow Chemical Company and containing more than 50% high oleic canola oil, both DOW SYMBIO Base Fluid and DOW SYMBIO Bio-Hydraulic Fluid are biodegradable, general purpose products that provide excellent anti-wear performance compared to other synthetic fluids containing renewable oils. DOW SYMBIO brings to the industry the “first of its kind” combination of polyalkylene glycol and high oleic canola oil and is expected to be available on a direct sales basis or through authorized Dow distributors in June 2009.
