Dongfeng Yulon JV to locate in Hangzhou

The joint venture (JV) between China’s Dongfeng Group and Taiwan’s Yulon Group in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, will begin work on the new site in November, according to Yulon President Chen Kuo-rong. According to a China Economic News report, the JV’s first production line will be completed in the first quarter of 2011 and the plant will have an initial annual production capacity of 120,000 units. The JV will make and market Yulon’s Luxgen brand, the first model being the Luxgen7 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), which made its debut in Taiwan in June. (October 15, 2010)
