DoE to propose new industrial fuel standards
The Department of Energy (DoE) in the Philippines is coming up with a revised policy that will modify the standards on fuels for industrial use. This is in accordance to the fuel quality stated in the Clean Air Act. Under DPNS/DOE QS 010:2009, the requirements for emulsified fuel, either bunker or diesel, applied in industrial, power generation sectors and different types of boilers and furnaces are specified. This does not include mobile vehicle uses. In relation to this amendment, the DoE is seeking inputs from related stakeholders for the standards’ completion. (July 6, 2009)
