Diesel must contain 3% biodiesel in Thailand

Thailand will make 3% biodiesel blended in petroleum diesel fuel or B3 compulsory by June 2010, in line with the plan to make 5% biodiesel blend compulsory next year. After chairing a National Energy Policy Office (NEPO) meeting, Energy Minister Wannarat Charnnukul said that given Thailand’s abundant supply of palm biodiesel, B3, will be made compulsory. At present, the biodiesel content in petroleum diesel fuel is only 2%. (April 23, 2010)
