Dalian Petrochemical boosts capacity of Euro 5-compliant fuel

More than 50% of PetroChina’s Dalian Petrochemical refinery output will be Euro 5-compliant fuel from 2011 to 2015 period, parent company CNPC reported on its website. The Dalian Petrochemical refinery in northeast China processed 17.79 million metric tons of crude oil in 2010, with sales revenues at 85.2 billion yuan (US$12.93 billion), up 11% over 2009. Its refining capacity is 20.50 million tons per year, second only in capacity to Sinopec’s Zhenhai refinery in China. (January 27, 2011)
