Daimler's Fuso launches new hybrid truck in Japan

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation, the Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer, launched its Fuso Canter Eco Hybrid truck on the domestic market, its German parent Daimler AG announced recently. The Fuso Canter Eco Hybrid is a light-duty truck that combines the Duonic dual-clutch transmission with a hybrid engine, thereby providing fuel efficiency. The vehicle’s nitrogen oxide and particulate emissions are 30% lower than the limits set by the current emission standard in Japan. The new light truck will also be launched in Europe and other international markets during the third quarter of this year. The truck will be offered in both a right- and left-hand drive model.
