Cosmo targeting 41% boost in overseas sales

Japan’s Cosmo Oil has set a goal of 5,558,000 kiloliters in overseas sales for petroleum products in Fiscal 2012. Cosmo Oil, which also targets a ratio of overseas to overall sales of 19% in Fiscal 2012 for its petroleum products, up from 13% in Fiscal 2009, plans to cultivate new customers in emerging markets in Asia while expanding sales to its traditional export markets of Oceania, South America and North America. It has long-term contracts to export its petroleum products to these three regions, which currently account for 90% of its exports. (August 17, 2010)
