Contractor officially hands over Dung Quat Oil refinery to PetroVietnam

A Technip-led contractors’ consortium held a ceremony to hand over the Dung Quat Oil Refinery project in Quang Ngai Province to its investor, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam). The project is now under the direct management of PetroVietnam subsidiary Binh Son Refining & Petrochemical One Member Co. Ltd. As of May 25, Technip successfully completed test running the project to ensure safe operation at full capacity. After the handover, the contractor will take charge of warranty services for the refinery within the next two years. More than 140 foreign engineers and experts will also assist in operating the refinery for two years, Binh Son Co.’s General Director Nguyen Hoai Giang said. (May 31, 2010)
