Concern over adulteration hinders biodiesel sales

The circular issued by the ministry requests state governments to ensure that the unauthorized sale and possession of biodiesel in the market is checked and eliminated. While the ministry may have issued the circular to prevent adulteration, it is felt that unhindered sale of biodiesel should be allowed to promote its use. (September 29, 2009)
