CNPC to set up new refinery in Chongqing

The 10-million-ton-per-year refinery being planned by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) will be kicked off next year in Changshou, Chongqing municipality. With completion of the plant, Chongqing’s local economic development will be given a big shot in the arm, according to industry analysts. After operation, the plant will be able to offer the city with 5 to 6 million tons of finished oil each year. (August 28, 2007)
