CNPC to complete expansion of pipeline in China

China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) will be completing a capacity expansion of its major oil pipeline between Lanzhou and Chonqing Municipality by the end of May. This expansion, resulting in a 1,250 kilometer gasoline and diesel fuel pipeline, should help ease fuel shortages in Southwestern China. The pipeline is expected to deliver 7 million metric tons of fuel oil per year, from 5.8 million tons currently. (May 4,2011)
