CNOOC's first commercial wind farm starts up
China National Offshore Oil Corp.’s (CNOOC) first commercial wind farm has started operations in Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The 18,000-square-meter wind farm is composed of 33 1.5-megawatt (MW) wind turbines, according to the announcement. The 49.5-MW project is able to generate up to 130 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity a year for the provincial power grid.
