CNOOC to set up regional headquarters in Guangdong

China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) has announced that it will set up its regional headquarters in Guangdong Province in southern China. The company signed an agreement last week with the local government, in which CNOOC said it will regard Guangdong as its strategic development base. CNOOC has already constructed major facilities in the province, including a 12-million-ton refinery in the city of Huizhou. (June 19, 2009)
