Clariant appoints Wagner group head

Effective August 1, 2007, Arnd Wagner is the new head of group communications at Clariant, based in Muttenz, Switzerland. Wagner was head of communications of Amgen International in Europe since 2005. Prior to this function, he served as head of communications of Aventis Europe and Aventis Industrial Operations. From 1989 to 1997, he held various positions at ABB including internal communications for ABB in Switzerland and assistant to the president of ABB in Germany. Wagner succeeds Walter Vaterlaus, chief communications officer, who has decided to continue his career as senior vice president corporate communications at Nycomed, an international pharmaceutical company.
