China's heavy-duty truck industry may be the first to recover
China’s heavy-duty truck industry is expected to be the first to regain growth momentum, probably in the second quarter of 2009, after a series of state measures. China said it hopes to see more than 18 trillion yuan (US$2.6 trillion) invested in provinces and cities, which will greatly boost demand for heavy-duty trucks. Also, demand for heavy-duty trucks are expected to get a boost from developing countries less affected by the global economic crisis who are continuing to invest in infrastructures.
