China’s gasoline output rises on improved demand
China’s gasoline production rose 19.6% in April compared to the same month a year ago. Production went up to 5.76 million metric tons (MT), according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Diesel fuel rose by 0.7% to 10.63 million MT. Higher sales has lead to dwindling fuel inventories, the government said, as China’s industrial production rose 7.3% year-on-year in April, following an 8.3% rise in March. (May 13, 2009)
