Chevron Lubricants President visits Sri Lanka

Danny Roden, President of Chevron Lubricants, visited Sri Lanka in early September. The two-day affair was considered a milestone because it was the first visit by a head of Chevron’s lubricants operation since Caltex returned to the country via the purchase of Lanka Lubricants in 1994. Roden was accompanied by Farrukh Saeed, vice president of Lubricants for the Asia Pacific region, who is also the chairman of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC. Roden is based in the company’s headquarters in San Ramon, USA. Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC posted a 6% bottom line growth year-to-date as of June 2011, inspite of spiraling costs of raw materials in the global market. The markets in Bangladesh and the Maldives are under the direct purview of the company and both have shown positive volume and revenue growth. (September 9, 2011)
