Chevron announces winners of second annual Lubricant Carrier Recognition Awards

Chevron Products Company, maker of technologically advanced engine oils, lubricants and coolants, recently held its second annual Carrier Recognition Awards at Hotel Zaza, Houston Texas. The focus of the event was to communicate, reinforce and emphasize Chevron’s commitment to safety, performance and customer service by recognizing partners that exemplify these values. The awards were based on performance during 2012.
“The Carrier Recognition Awards are issued to our carrier partners that help elevate the perception of Chevron and our lubricant brands through a combination of safety, service and performance,” said Barbara Burger, vice president of Supply Chain and Base Oil with Chevron Lubricants. “Although our award criteria [are] difficult to achieve, we are very proud that so many of our carriers have met or exceeded the service levels needed to qualify. We want to congratulate all our carrier partners for the fine work they do, but in particular, our Carrier Recognition Award winners, for their exceptional performance in 2012.”
To be considered for an award, carriers must have moved a minimum volume of 200 full truckload or LTL shipments in 2012. For bulk carriers, the minimum requirement was 150 shipments in comparison to intermodal carriers that were expected to move more than 100 shipments.
Awards were given out for safety, customer service and performance. The winners for safety were Andrews Logistics and Renn Transportation.
Customer service awards were presented to six companies โ€“ Averitt Express, JB Hunt, Martin Transport, Market Transport, Pacer Global Logistics, and Usher Transport. Two companies won their second awards of the year in the performance category โ€“ Renn Transportation and Usher Transport. The other two winners were Edwards Transport Services and Estes Express.
