Castrol India, Tata Motors launch fuel-efficient heavy-duty lube

Castrol India and Tata Motors said their jointly developed new engine oil– Castrol RX Super Max Fuel Saver — can help a truck operator save up to INR20,000 (USD310) per annum in fuel cost.
“This is the first-time ever in the history of Castrol and across the world that an auto-maker has attested our claim of bringing down the ownership cost of truck owners. The new premium lube has proved to bring down fuel intake by as much as 1.5% which has been seconded by Tata Motors,” Castrol India Managing Director Ravi Kirpalani said.
Castrol RX Super Max Fuel Saver was jointly developed by the two companies within a four-year period.
The premium lubricant is is priced at INR389 (USD6) per liter.
