Castrol eyes second position

PT Castrol Indonesia has an ambition to become the second largest national lubricant player in the car and motorbike segments in the next three-five years. At the moment, PT Pertamina, Indonesia’s oil and gas firm, commands the largest market share. Budi Janto, marketing director of PT Castrol Indonesia, said that inspite of tight competition in the lubricant industry, the company had an ambition to rank second in the car and motorbike lubricant segments. He said the company would try to strengthen its brand image among Indonesian consumers. Recently, the company announced that it will be an official sponsor of the World Cup 2010 in South Africa and World Cup 2014 in Brazil, as well as an official sponsor of confederation cups from 2008 to 2014.
