Castrol eyes 25% share in lubricant market

PT Castrol Indonesia will try to bolster its market share in the lubricant business to 25% this year, despite projection that its sales growth will be eroded by the economic crisis. Nanang Suryana, regional sales manager, revealed that Castrol lubricant products in 2008 were able to capture a 20% market share in the automotive, as well as in the motorbike, lubricant businesses. Analysis by PT Castrol Indonesia showed that the country’s total automotive lubricant consumption reached 100 to 110 million liters per annum, while for motorbike it was 120 to 160 million liters.
