Caltex to open new diesel tank in Queensland
Caltex Australia, a company engaged in the purchase, refining, distribution and marketing of petroleum products, has announced that it will officially open its new 27 million liter diesel tank in Mackay, Queensland. Construction of the tank was reportedly completed in 2009, and is part of a larger Mackay terminal upgrade which also includes an ethanol blending facility. The company has said that the work will soon start on a second 27 million liter diesel tank at the Mackay terminal, with the Gladstone terminal also benefiting from the construction of a 15 million liter tank later 2010. Both projects are subject to regulatory approvals and are due to be completed in 2011. (March 10, 2010)
