Caltex achieves target
Caltex Australia has achieved its year-end target of launching sales of gasoline containing 10% ethanol at 100 sites in the nation’s east, the company said. “Caltex is committed to making a significant contribution to the development of a sustainable biofuels industry in Australia,” Caltex Managing Director and CEO Des King said. The acceptance of ethanol-blended gasoline is gaining momentum among Australian motorists, helped by the government policy to lift national biofuels output to at least 350 million liters per year by 2010 and local marketers’ increasing willingness to supply the fuel.
