Bronze Oak to build 2 ethanol plants

Bronze Oak Philippines said it plans to construct two bioethanol plants with a combined capacity of 75 million liters per year in Bukidnon and Tarlac. The South Bukidnon 45 million liter bioethanol facility is being constructed in Kibawe, South Bukidnon, while the other 30 million liter facility will be built in Capas, Tarlac in the third quarter of 2009. The two plants will also be capable of producing power and will require 21,000 hectares of sugarcane plantation to ensure sustainability of operations. They are expected to start commercial operations in the next two years. (March 9, 2009)
