Brilliance’s new plant to produce 150,000 units
A new A-class car plant owned by Brilliance China Automotive Holdings (BCAH) will soon be ready for operation, the company said. With an annual capacity of 150,000 units, the new plant will produce three A-class models, including sedan and cross models on the FRV platform. BCAH’s old A-class plant will be transformed into a production line for C-class cars. The car plant opening is in line with the company’s “A Plan,” which was launched in 2007. The A Plan was designed to boost BCAH’s sales in the household economy car market. Its first A-class car named Zhonghua Junjie FRV was launched in 2008. (January 14, 2009)
