Braskem to install new storage facilities in Sao Paulo

The Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem has agreed to install with distributor quantiQ new storage facilities for polyisobutylene (PIB) at its basic petrochemicals unit in Mauá, São Paulo state. PIB is a polymer that is used in a wide range of applications, including additives for lubricants. The new facility will measure 1,350 m² and will have the capacity to store 5,000 drums of polyisobutylene; Quantiq will be responsible for delivering the resin. It is the largest distributor of chemical products in Brazil, with a portfolio of more than 900 products. (August 8, 2012)
