BP to focus on core lubricant brands
BP PLC is looking to divest its Duckhams and Veedol lubricant brands. The company states it is looking to focus its sales on core brands Castrol and BP lubricant brands. Interested parties have until March 12 to register their interest in purchasing the Duckhams and Veedol brands. As part of the sale, the buyer will receive global rights to a portfolio of registered trademarks for the brands, in addition to associated sub-brands and logos. Sale does not include sales or customer lists nor any product formulation or rights to supply or operational support. The sales of the brands are to be completed by the end of 2011.
